  • The 5G Optical Communication Industry-Academia Technology Alliance will integrate the three major technologies of optical fiber broadband, free-space optical communication FSO, and 5G NR MMW/Sub-THz wave wireless communication to construct a 5G full-band optical fiber broadband/wireless optical communication FSO integrated access system.

  • 5G ultra-high speed, ultra-low latency characteristics: real-time 4K image transmission technology (application of smart recreation industry)
    Combined with optical fiber broadband/wireless optical communication, the fifth-/sixth-generation mobile communication heterogeneous integrated access network, 4K ultra-high-quality images are presented on ultra-high-resolution displays, and a 5G/6G real-time 4K image transmission system is constructed. Optical Generation's 5G/6G mobile communication field applications will directly use 5G/6G signal sources and ultra-high-speed optical (fiber) communication technology, with a peak transmission rate of up to 10 Gb/s and the delay time of less than 1 ms, fully demonstrating 10 Gb/s Ultra-fast internet speed and 4K ultra-high-definition audio and video.

  • 5G ultra-high speed and ultra-low latency: 5G 3D floating projection technology (smart entertainment and smart Internet of Things industrial applications)
    In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic was out of control, and various large-scale exhibitions had been cancelled or postponed. Affected by the pandemic, museums around the world have temporarily closed. The "3D Floating Museum" (as shown in Figure 28) transmits a large amount of high-resolution images of museum cultural relics from the cloud server. Through the ultra-high-speed optical fiber broadband/wireless optical communication FSO/5G/6G mobile communication integrated network, the cultural relics and works of art can be displayed on the user  side with high-resolution and multi-color display technology. Viewers can use smart handheld devices such as mobile phones and tablet computers to watch at any places, and any time, regardless of time and place, the pandemic and other factors. Through the 3D floating display of the "3D Floating Museum"’, the museum's cultural relics and artworks will be vividly displayed in front of the viewers.

  • 5G ultra-large connection and ultra-low latency characteristics: ultra-long-distance drone intelligent inspection technology (smart mobile and intelligent Internet of Things industrial applications)
    Using the optical fiber broadband network as the backbone network and the FSO-5G/6G Convergence as the extension network, a 5G/6G ultra-long-distance drone aerial surveillance and inspection system is constructed, which instantly returns a large number of clear remote images on a 4K ultra-high-resolution monitor, and has a comprehensive and accurate grasp of remote situations immediately (such as highway road conditions, mountain panoramas, etc.)
